General Operations

UTS is open for limited in-person testing as of August 10th. Appointments are required in advance. Many exams will continue to be proctored online. Please continue reading this page or navigate to the test-specific page for details.

The best resource for ongoing campus-wide updates is https://www.uga.edu/coronavirus/info.php. UGA is updating this site often with new information.

TEAS Exams

TEAS exams are available to be proctored remotely. You may register for the exam at atitesting.com


Standardized Testing

Saturday administrations of standardized testing through October 2020 have been cancelled. Please review the tests below and the contact information for each exam. You will receive emails from the testing companies with further instructions.

Prometric Testing 

Our Prometric Test Center is open at limited capacity. Our Prometric test center will be open 6 days per week to help meet the testing needs of the community.  All appointments must be booked through Prometric, UTS does not schedule Prometric exams.  Please visit prometric.com for the most current information or to schedule.  For questions regarding our Prometric Test Center you can email us at uts@uga.edu or call us in our Prometric test center at (706) 542-1376.


History and Constitution Exams 

UTS has created online versions of the graduation requirement exams and will continue to proctor them remotely in the fall. For more information and to schedule, please visit this page.


Departmental Entrance Exams 

For Terry students, registration for remote administration for the ETS Proficiency Profile and the Accounting exam is open via our website. Both tests will continue to be administered remotely.

The Grady College of Journalism Statement of Interest will be administered April 15th-August 31st via ELC. Registration is now open.

The College of Engineering’s Personal Statement of Purpose  will be administered via ELC September 2nd-October 9th. Registration is now open.

Placement Testing

It is recommended that you complete any necessary placement exams before your advising appointment. If you have questions about which placement exams you should take, please review the information on our website. Further questions can be directed to uts@uga.edu.


The English placement exam will be given remotely through UTS utilizing ELC Respondus Monitor.  Registration is now open through our website.


Beginning August 10th, UTS will resume proctoring the paper-based, credit-bearing math placement exam. Registration is now open.  More info can be found here.

The Math Department will continue to host the online ALEKS Placement Exam so that Exemptions can also be granted through this exam.  Exam info and registration can be found on the Math Department's website here.  Questions regarding the ALEKS exam should be directed to the math department.

Foreign Language

Placement tests for Spanish and French are offered via ELC Respondus Monitor.  You can register for these exams via our website.

Other language placement exams can be taken in-person through UTS by appointment only. You can register for these exams via our website.


All Other Testing 

As the situation is constantly evolving, we are paying close attention to the guidance from state and federal officials, as well as testing companies. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our community. We will be posting updates as testing companies make announcements. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at uts@uga.edu with specific questions. We are here to help through this uncertain time.
