Need-based Financial Assistance for Testing Fees

Starting in 2021, the Parent’s Leadership Council has funded a grant for students who need to take UGA-based exams through University Testing Services.

These funds can be applied to one attempt each of the following exams:
· Placement exams (math, English, foreign language)
· Major application assessments (Terry accounting, ETS Proficiency Profile, Grady statement of purpose, engineering personal statement of purpose)
· Graduation exemption exams (history and constitution)

Financial need will be determined by UGA’s Office of Student Financial Aid using the current year’s FAFSA. UTS does not need any financial information from applicants.

Application Process

If you believe that you qualify and would like to request funding to take one of the exams above, please email uts@uga.edu with the subject line PLC Grant Request. In the email, include your name, 81x, the test you need to take, and the date you hope to take the exam.

Please do not sign up for the exam using the scheduling link on the UTS website. We cannot give refunds on exams that are already paid for. If you are approved for the grant, we will send you an alternate scheduling link.
Please allow AT LEAST 2 weeks for processing funding requests. One month is preferable.
Funds are limited and requests will be distributed on a first-come, first serve basis. If you have any questions, please email us at uts@uga.edu.
